question about Quicktime

Hello everyone. I have Quicktime Pro 7.1 and i'm having problems using the Image Sequence to cap my trailers. Am I supposed to export the movie first or export it to image sequence? And what is supposed to happen after it exports to Image Sequence because all I get is this cap:
