[livejournal.com profile] whichwitch666 requested the movie theater silhouettes from Mystery Science Theater 3000. I've put 5 caps of the silhouettes up in my MST3K album and the best of those caps are under the link. I put this in a reply to the request group post, but I'm not sure if he/she saw it or not, so...

Chopper is one of Eric Bana's first movies after he made the move from sketch comedy to drama, and it... he plays one of the best sociopaths I've ever seen. This is not a movie for the faint of heart, it's a heavy film, but if you can take it, I recommend it, because it's an amazing performance. Especially if you've become interested in Bana after Troy. And it's based on a true story.

Contains: lots of blood, graphic violence (main character stabbing someone in the face, main character chopping off his own ears, main character getting stabbed), brief full frontal nudity, depictions of drug use, domestic violence, and an Eric Bana who looks nothing like himself, and certainly nothing like Hector. Like I said, not a movie for the faint of heart. You've been warned.

4 preview caps under the cut

Even Beethoven had his critics. See if you can name three of 'em )

Click [HERE] to download a .zip file containing all 787 caps. It's quite large, 7.61MB. All the caps have been resized slightly from the video capture size for the sake of image quality.

Comment if you download please, credit's not necessary, but if you feel like doing so, credit [livejournal.com profile] banapostings. Thanks, enjoy!

Alright, I know that not many people know about this movie. But it's one of the most incredible movies around. It's all images and music, no speech, no lines. Just pure, unadulterated, beauty. Here's a little synopsis: "The word Baraka means "blessing" in several languages; watching this film, the viewer is blessed with a dazzling barrage of images that transcend language. Filmed in 24 countries and set to an ever-changing global soundtrack, the movie draws some surprising connections between various peoples and the spaces they inhabit, whether that space is a lonely mountaintop or a crowded cigarette factory. Some of these attempts at connection are more successful than others: for instance, an early sequence segues between the daily devotions of Tibetan monks, Orthodox Jews, and whirling dervishes, finding more similarity among these rituals than one might expect. And there are other amazing moments, as when sped-up footage of a busy Hong Kong intersection reveals a beautiful symmetry to urban life that could only be appreciated from the perspective of film."

Even if you've never heard of the movie, it's still worth it to look at the samples or to browse the Photobucket gallery. There are some shots here that astound me in terms of their beauty and their composition. Seriously. And if you do look, let me know - I like to get comments.

Thanks and have fun with them :)
