Capping question

Ok so I have looked through the memories and I can't seem to find the answer to this question.
I downloaded the "Best Kiss" scene of the Mtv Movie Awards. Thing is, it dled as a mediaplayer file. I want to cap this but I can't get it to open in my DVD capping program.
I have InterVideo WinDVD if anyone can help me at all it would be greatly appreciated.
