Galleries vs. zips

Till recently I've been providing both zip files and a gallery of all the caps on my site. However, the more movies I do, the less space I have, obviously. I don't have space to keep all the caps and zips for each movie, and I don't have money to get more space. So one or the other has to go. It is possible to do zips by email request, but the files are usually largeish and many mail servers won't accept them.

Right now I'm thinking I'll keep the zips and put a gallery of maybe 25 or so samples for each. My zip files run about 10 MB, which most peoples' computers can handle.

So when you're saving caps, do you prefer to download them all and then delete the ones you don't want from your computer, or would you rather just pick the ones you want to save?

Screencapping help!

I'm having problems screencapping AVI files. Not a single program I've downloaded will screencap them.

Any suggestions for a new program or how to fix the old ones would be lovely :)

I'm not sure if it's related but, I've also had problems with BSPlayer playing some files upside down. AVI, MPG, WMV. It's not limited to any one format and not all of one format plays upside down. Windows Media Player plays them all just fine though.

I also can't screencap through any method that involves turning off video acceleration. My comp has a heart attack and fixing it involves starting up in safemode, it's a headache.

I've also noticed an odd icon appear on the 'notification area' when I play any video file. I think it say 'ffd show'? There's an icon for each time I've played a file and if I hover my cursor over it the bar slides back to hide the icons, everytime.

I've been wanting to cap this movie for a long time now. Not only because it's a great movie, because it really is, but because it also has personal meaning to me. My grandfather was a POW in Stalag 17B during WW2, I doubt I would have watched this amazing movie if it weren't for him. I used the same method of capping for this as I did for Footloose, so if you want more caps of any specific scene(s), let me know.
