capping problem

I'm not too sure where to turn so I'm gonna try over here. If it's not the place for that just tell me and I'll delete this post.
I've been using PowerDVD 7 for a couple years now and it's been working wonder when it comes to screencapping. Last December I changed computers and since then I've been having a problem with the program and I don't know what may be causing it.
I can watch whatever I want as long as I want and it'll work. When it comes to making screencaps, however, that's another story. I used to be able to make screencaps for hours without having to constantly check if it still cap or not. Since the computer change I can maybe screencap for 2 hours without having a problem. After that, the program doesn' make any more caps but it keeps the little "capture" window thing appear on the top right corner as if it was still going on but when I go into the folder where the caps are, they're not all there. If I close the program and re-open it, the screencaps aren't working but if I press the c key on the keyboard or the camera button in the program, the word will pop up anyway. Sometimes, after closing the program and trying to re-open it, the program doesn't re-open. I actually have to shut down the computer and restart it if I wanna keep on making screencaps.
If I don't make screencaps at all, I can watch hours of hours of stuff with the program. If I close it down and reopen it, there's no trouble either. I don't think PowerDVD gets in conflict with anything else because the entire program would bug and not just one of the options... right?
I'm not too sure what can cause this and I don't know what to do. Beside that, I'm highly satisfied with PowerDVD. I used to have WinDVD and switched to PowerDVD because I thought the quality was better but now I got this problem. before the computer change, I didn't have that problem.
Anyone knows anything about this and would like to help? If I have to change programs I will. Thanks in advance!
