Mostly, if you are trying to use Print Screen or somthing to cap videos, the key is to go into your display settings under Windows and disable hardware acceleration temporarily while you are capping.
[In WinXP:] 1. Right-Click Desktop 2. Select "Properties" 3. Choose "Settings" Tab 4. Click "Advanced" Button 5. Choose "Troubleshoot" Tab 6. Slide "Hardware Acceleration" slider to "None" (all the way to the left. 7. OK button a bunch to get out.
Now, no matter HOW you're watching video (Widows Media Player, 3rd PArty DVD player or *even in a web browser*, you can hit the "Print Screen" button and it'll copy it into your paste buffer (errr, I mean "Clipboard")
Then paste it into your favorite image program and crop to suit.
