Help!

I'm having a problem with capping, and I thought I'd see if anyone here could help me out. I use PowerDVD 5.0 because of the capability to advance frame by frame. When I opened it to do caps today, it gave me a select playlist menu, and I couldn't select the DVD in the drive. I've never had this problem before, and I can't figure out what to do. If anyone could help me out or recommend another software to use, I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you!

Gah. Your icon is such a rip off from the Jude one I've seen in the same style. Or the Jude one is a rip off of yours. Either way. I hate when icon makers do that :/

Can you play the DVD with another DVD player? If not it sounds like it's a problem with your DVD drive, not PowerDVD. My sister's DVD drive conked out on her last month, apparently it's a fairly common thing =/

Can I ask something? I just uploaded Power DVD 5 on my computer for the first time. Never used any before.

And do you have to do something to it before you put a DVD in cause the draw just spits the DVD back out kike a movie shoukldn't go in there. Does Power DVD tel the CD drive to accept CVD?

When you go to select playlist menu, have you tried clicking on both the direct route to the D drive (which doesn't always work for me), and the longer route, via Open Media Files, clicking on the D drive in the browser, and then selecting the movie file? I find the later option is the only one that works when I'm playing a DVD that I've burned myself, whereas the first option usually works for pre-recorded DVD's.
