I would like to start posting caps for everyone, but I seem to have run into a bit of a problem:

When I try to cap a DVD that is a widescreen version, the picture tends to get kind of...squished, I suppose is the word. Anybody know how I can solve this??

There's no way to fix it while you're capping, but I have a tutorial about unsquishing pictures in Photoshop. The tutorial's here: http://www.headkablooie.com/chat/viewtopic.php?t=9

That link seems to be dead. Did the page move? I badly need this :)

Are you using PowerDVD? Because that happened to me with the first few movies I capped on PowerDVD. You'll want to go to configuration, general, advanced, capture, look under captured aspect ratio, and select current video window size.
This will make the size of your caps a bit bigger, but it'll keep them from being squished. If you want them smaller without resizing them each, you can go back to config, video tab, screen control, keep aspect ratio. Then whatever size you make your screen is the size your caps will be. I hope I helped. :)

You need to click on a setting for keeping the aspect ratio. I'm not sure what program you're using. I use PowerDVD.
