First of all - thank you to everyone (or mostly everyone) who has figured out where to post their requests. When I get caught up with memories, I'll be clearing out the requests that have been filled and posting all those that are still outstanding.
Second - I would like to take just one quick second to clear up what constitutes a "request" because I've been getting some complaints recently about posts I deleted.
Requests are either:
1. A "please cap this movie/scene/tv show/music video for me" post.
2. A "I've seen these caps posted already but am too lazy to use the memories or the community archives to find the post I am looking for so can someone please do the work for me and give me the link" post.
Both of those are request posts and both will land you in the same amount of trouble.
To all your community members - I am one person and I do sleep, so if a post goes undeleted, you can bet your patooties I'm sleeping or at work or something. My mods have all rather disappeared at the moment so it's really just me (at least I think it is... Mods, if you're out there, post on the mod group and let me know!!). I'm not letting someone's post stay because I'm his/her friend or anything and I guarantee that it's not a conspiracy. I promise. If you want people to stop posting requests, then stop replying to their requests with help. Just reply telling them to delete the subject themselves - if they do that there's no warning and no suspension and no banishment. If I need to delete the post, then I get unpleasant. So police yourselves and it will be a happy land of screencapping.
Finally - I've reorganized the memories. The idea was
peacefully's and I think it's just brilliant. Now there's no excuse for not checking the memories first. Everything is immediately in alphabetical order. I have also been updating the memories and cleaning up the archive. I'm up to May 16 so far. I'll be working all day on it tomorrow as well.
I think that's it. :) I hope these little bitty changes meet with everyone's satisfaction!!

Date: 2004-07-29 03:28 am (UTC)I'm guilty of posting my lists, though - but mostly just to gauge interest in a specific movie and whatnot. I'm a comment whore so I really only cap what I'm fairly sure will have a lot of interest. :P
Thanks for your suggestions :)
