Is it possible to take screencaptures with a Windows MediaPlayer?

If so, how?

Thank you very much!

I would imagine you could, just pause whatever you want to cap and push print screen. Then paste it into your photo editor. Lemme know if this works! I've only done so with Real Audio.

I just tryed it. Hit the PrintScreen cap. Pasted it into Adobe and got a blank screen. So, I would think no.

I use Fraps (http://www.fraps.com/download.htm), and that works pretty well for me.

With windows media player you have to slow down the video acceleration. Otherwise you'll get a black screen when you paste the cap (ctrl + v) into an imaging program.

Open media player, go to options, and find some advanced thing. Just find where you slow down the acceleration and turned it way down. Then when you cap using printscreen, it should give you an actual cap.

Of course I haven't ever used WMP to cap things, this is just what I've heard from other people.

If you want to do bulk capping, I'd go with Windows Media Player Classic, available at oldversion.com (http://www.oldversion.com). What you do is go to File --> Save Image, and save the cap to your directory/folder of choice. Sounds inconvenient, but since you don't have to paste each time, it makes it easy to do lots of caps at once.

I GOT IT!! I'd been having problems, and I tried most everything recommended in here (I have the free version that came with my dell) and just go to

Tools > Options > Performance and then take Acceleration down to "none"
