Friendly mod reminder

I normally wouldn't do this, but it's really getting ridiculous.

Requests are not to be made to the main community and they haven't been allowed there for a couple of months now. I've deleted about 3-4 different requests from the main community just in the last day or so. It's just ridiculous and it gets annoying to have to delete them so often. Please try to be more careful, okay?

The thing is though, none of the requests on that thread ever seem to get answered. They just get burried under more and more comments. It seems the only effective way to get requests answered is through the dvd list posts. Yet some people seem to want to do away with that as well.

I've actually filled a few of the ones from that post that I could, and I posted one for two movies once and have had one of those filled. So it works sometimes. I know I regularly check to see if any of my movies are on the list, and not just because I'm a mod, because I want to help people out. I figure I can't be the only one.

We've been working on getting the alphabetical order, form submitted, website hosted list back up, but I'm afraid the maintainer of the community hasn't had much time lately and I don't know enough to make it work. I think we've been looking for a new mod to take care of it.

Will there still be the dvd lists, though? (Maybe only on a certain day of the weak) Cause that's an easy way to get requests filled if you see someone else has a dvd you're looking for. Plus, it takes a load of the mods' shoulders if someone volenteers to do caps.

To the best of my knowledge, there will be. I think the main problem is that a lot of people post them and don't fill the requests from their lists. I'm not really sure what we're going to do about it yet, as I don't have the final say on it. I'm just a co-mod.
