I have a question. I have InterWin DVD 4 (it came with my Dell), and I have been able to cap with it, it just caps in the bmp format, and I want jpg, any ideas how to change it?

Also, it won't lemme take more than like 80 caps at a time, then I just have to save, move the files and delete them from the program's cache. Any ideas how to fix that?

Thanks!

Upgrade. That's the only way to get it in .jpgs.

Upgrade to what? I bought PowerDVD 5 Deluxe, and I can't find the option to change it to jpgs.

PowerDVD is made by Cyberlink. WinDVD is made by Intervideo, which I thought the original poster was referring to. This page (http://www.intervideo.com/jsp/WinDVDPlatinum.jsp?mode=new) shows the features of WinDVD products, and says that WinDVD Gold 5 and Platinum 5 both have the feature of having the option to save in jpgs.

I don't know if you can change it to save as JPGs, but you can browse to where you want to save the files under the Configuration->Advanced options (the same place where you tell it what you want it to do w/ captured files). Browse to a folder on your hard drive outside of the Program Files area, and that should work. I've gotten over 200 caps at a time, so there isn't a reason to stop at 80 as far as I know.

it's an extra step, but an easy one

i hope it's legal to link this - i think it is...

^if you go there and download the bink & smacker video tools (the top download on the list, unless you have a mac/etc.), you can do batch conversions, which i find pretty handy. if you can't figure out how to do it after you download, i can give you a step-by-step, but it's pretty easy to figure out - you use the "convert a file" option. you can do a bunch of other things with it too, but right now i primarily use it to convert my caps.

there's probably similar programs around that might even be better, so if you have the time, it might be worth looking up.

Hi, I'm sorry to bother you and all but I was just wondering. What type of Dell do you have? You see, I also have a Dell that came with InterWin DVD 4 but I haven't been able to cap with it. >>;
